2008 Lumber Pioneers Annual Meeting Reception and Dinner 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 Monarch Hotel, Clackamas, Ore.
Registration information will be available in late July. | The lumber industry has a rich tradition in the West, marked by the many business relationships developed in the course of making and selling Western lumber. In an effort to preserve the Western lumber's storied history and celebrate the business relationships that are integral to the industry, an organization has been formed for veteran industry participants.

Since 2005, the Lumber Pioneers have published three monographs, featuring Pope & Talbot's Port Gamble, Washington sawmill, Gilchrist Timber Company in central Oregon and Paul Bunyan Lumber Company in northern California.
