 WHAT'S NEW
Size labeling requirements set
for lumber sold in California

Lumber sold at retail locations in California must meet labeling requirements to show actual dressed dimensions. Products under Product Standard 20, which includes most framing lumber, can be labled with nominal sizes. For more details on the requirements and what mills and retailers can do, check out a new WWPA Lumber Solutions on the topic.

Lumber use falls to new lows
before slow recovery in 2010
Lumber markets in 2009 will decline to unprecedented lows, then start moving toward a slow recovery next year, according to a new WWPA lumber forecast just released. For more on the lumber market outlook next year, go to the Newsroom.
