Product Support
WWPA is the only lumber organization that provides the basic structural information and product support services for Western lumber products. The Association publishes technical information on Western lumber, responds to customer questions about WWPA lumber use and performance and conducts educational seminars for building code officials, wholesalers, retailers, specifiers and other lumber users.
WWPA's product support activities are augmented by a corps of lumber experts who are available to provide a variety of lumber support services, from answering user questions on Western lumber products to educating key audiences on how to properly specify and use Western lumber.
Association Product Support activities include:

Technical publications. WWPA offers a variety of technical publications about Western lumber which can be ordered directly from the Association or downloaded as digital publications. Click here to review WWPA's library of technical publications.

Lumber education. Association product support professionals regularly educate lumber users on how to properly specify and use Western lumber products. WWPA conducts seminars for building code officials and retailers, and exhibits at key construction industry trade shows.

Western lumber support. Each year, WWPA lumber experts answer by phone, fax and e-mail thousands of questions from Western lumber customers. For many customers, WWPA is a key resource for information on Western lumber products.

Market intelligence. Exclusively for WWPA Member companies, the Association monitors developments in the lumber marketplace and distributes reports on trends that could become sales opportunities or challenges to lumber use in the future.

Lumber and Mold
Information about mold on lumber is available online in the WWPA Mold and Wood Products section. The section features the Association's popular Mold, Housing and Wood publication, which provides scientific information on mold and building materials, and three Fast Facts: What is Mold?; Preventing and Controlling Mold; and Cleaning Mold. Digital versions of these publications are available for downloading.
Online Technical Guide
You can get detailed technical information on lumber produced by WWPA mills in the Online Technical Guide. Free registration is required. The guide features lumber grade basics, Western species and uses, lumber specifying, environ-mental information, base design values, MSR lumber and lumber properties and spans.
International Guide
Lumber buyers from outside the U.S. can use the interactive International Buyers Guide to find Western lumber products. The guide is available in English, Japanese, Chinese and Mexican Spanish languages. You can also find other foreign language publications in the International section.
