This guide
was created to provide basic technical information on Western lumber
products produced by
WWPA Member companies. While every effort has been made to ensure
the accuracy of the Western lumber information included in this Online
Technical Guide, WWPA accepts no responsibility for errors and/or
omissions in the information presented herein, or for errors which may
occur in downloading and printing any of the files, nor any liability
resulting from the use of this information for design and construction

The WWPA Online Technical Guide is
copyrighted by Western Wood Products Association in Portland, Oregon.
Information for the WWPA Online Lumber Technical Guide is drawn from the
Association's technical publications, including Western Lumber Grading
Rules, Western Lumber Product Use Manual and Western Woods Use Book.
These and other publications are available for purchase from WWPA.
For a full description of publications
available, digital versions of the publications and links to purchase
printed editions, go to the Publications
section. WWPA now offers digital supplements to the Western
Woods Use Book through its Tech Notes series, which can be downloaded as
Adobe Acrobat PDF files. Go to the Tech
Notes section to review the supplements available. The charts,
tables and literature titles listed in the preceding sections are
presented as PDF files, which require Adobe Acrobat (tm) to view
on-screen and print. To download the free Adobe Acrobat reader, click here.
